With a southerly blast today, it certainly doesn’t feel like term four has begun. Roll on the warmer weather! The term will flash by so below is some information and important dates for you.
This term we are lucky to have Ainslea McDonald with us for five weeks. She is currently in the final weeks of completing her teaching degree. Ainslea will be in full control for three weeks.
The concept for this term is DARE TO IMAGINE. Our focus is on being creative and exploring why imagination is important, and how it enriches our world. To begin the term we are basing our learning around Myths and Legends. An arts focus will follow so…
Help!!!!! If you are musical, artistic or participate in any areas of The Arts, and can offer some time to share your skills with the class, we would love to hear from you.
§ Reading Book bags and reading every day.
§ Homework is due on Fridays. It’s really important to complete, especially reading, maths basic facts and spelling.
§ Uniforms The new term is a good time to rename everything. I have vivids if you need them.
§ Hats and Drink Bottles named of course and water only.
§ Library Our library day is Tuesday 9 – 10.
§ Assemblies We would love you to come. Our school assembly is first thing Monday morning and Pohutukawa Syndicate assembly is on Friday morning at 9:45.
§ Calendars This year we have been studying the works of the artist Leger and have modeled our calendars on his works. Everyone worked so hard and is so proud of their results. Come and have a look at them. They make excellent Christmas presents, especially for family.
