Room 21 Term 4

Kia ora to all parents and whanau.

This year has certainly flown by and we are in for another busy term.  Room 21 has made a positive start to the term with some excellent work being produced.  With the weather warming up it is now compulsory for children to be wearing a named Sunnyvale school hat at morning tea and lunch times.  These can be bought at the school office.  It’s also a good idea to start thinking about sending your child to school with a named water bottle.  With the weather warming up its important that children are drinking lots of water.     It’s excellent to see most book bags coming everyday.  It is important that children are reading for at least ten minutes every night.  To help children with there reading ask them a couple of questions about the book like what happened in the story or talk about the characters.

This term our focus is ‘Dare to Imagine’.  We will be focusing on the arts and encouraging children to use their imagination to create different pieces of work.

It is a good time to check that all uniforms are named.  I have vivids available in my classroom if needed.        I am looking for to another great term in room 21.  If you have any problems or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me through email or making an appointment at the office with Lynn.   jessicas@sunnyvale.school.nz
