At Sunnyvale out of school care the mission is to provide a safe, secure and educational environment for the children in our care. The program is run by Allan & Janine Howie, who have run children’s programs for over 16 years and have 4 children of their own.
As parents themselves they are fully aware of how hard it can be to hand your child over to someone else to look after and they will do their best to make it as easy as possible for you and your child. They are also aware of the need to balance care and education, so they make sure there are activities that are fun and provide lots of learning opportunities.
They usually find that there are two questions caregivers have:
Daily program
Two programs run during the school term, one before and one after school. Holiday programs will also be available starting from the end of term one 2010.
Timetable for before school:
7.00 onwards children arrive (signed in by parents)
· Breakfast is available
8.00 Quiet games and activities
· Children who need to do homework will have a quiet area set aside for this
8.45 tidy up and children go to class
Timetable for after school:
3.00 – Roll call & Afternoon tea
3:30 – Supervised Homework session
4.00 – Supervised free play (outside if possible)
4:30 – Planned Activity 5:30 - Tidy up & quiet games Examples of planned activities include cooking, sports and craft activities .
Fee schedule (Increase Effective 11th October 2010)
After School
1-3 Days $15.50 4-5 Days $13.50
A 10% discount applies where two children from the same family are attending together.
Before 4.00pm Rate
1-3 Days $10.00* 4-5 Days $8.00*
We need to be advised at the time you make your booking for this rate to apply.
If your children are picked up after 4.00pm the daily rate of $15.50 will be charged.
Before School
Flat rate of $5.00* per day
*Please note:
The family discount does not apply to the Before 4.00pm Rate or Before School care as these rates are already discounted.
